A tweak to the promo…

On the advice of the über-knowledgable Dan (of Necessary Roughness fame), I’ve added a backing track to the promo. Hopefully, it will help fill out some of the silence & create a fuller, warmer spot, while also dampening some of the echo that is (unavoidably) there in the background.

Props to the first commenter(s) who can ID what the backing track is/is taken from…

    Me likey.

Personally I wouldn’t bring up the background audio back up as much (but some), and then I would fade it out at the end. Sounds good! You got the job done.

Oh, and that’s the Magnificat from LSB Evening Prayer, IIRC. :)

Well, to be honest, I just let Garage Band have it’s way with the sound level, in terms of when it brought the backing track to the front after my vocal track was done. And for the fade at the end, I figured Jeff/Craig would do what they needed to it, so I just really needed to give them enough bumper to work with at the end (I hope!).

And, you are correct as to the source of the backing track. It sounded nice and “churchy” without being to busy/overwhelming (again, I hope!).
